EpiceumHarris Interactive barometer of local communication. Survey conducted online from 4 to 13 June 2013, based on the Harris Interactive access panel. Sample of 1000 individuals representative of the French population, aged 18 and over. Quota method and adjustment applied to the following variables: gender, age, socio-professional category and region of the interviewee, and adjustment for the size of the urban area and level of education.

Interesting hierarchy of communication channels: the municipal newspaper / word of mouth / posters / local TV and free press (which do not exist everywhere) / events / website / PQR...

But beware: the study does not distinguish the relevance of the media according to the messages: not all are equal according to what you have to say and in particular according to the more or less "political", divisive or structuring nature of the content: local life, sports, associations, etc. and the PLU are not dealt with in the same way. The more sensitive the subject, the more important word of mouth will be and the more direct contact and dedicated media will be preferred.
