En 2015, les villes auront besoin d’innovations pour devenir (vraiment) intelligentes

Apparu au milieu des années 2000, le concept de ville intelligente veut accompagner l’urbanisation de la planète dans un contexte de mutation économique et de pression environnementale et démographique. 6,3 milliards de Terriens devraient habiter en ville à l’horizon 2050. Le marché des smart cities pourraient atteindre 40 milliards d’ici 2020 ou 100 milliards d’ici 2030, selon la cabinet Alcimed. Les villes intelligentes poussent déjà partout sur la planète, ce qui en fait, sans douter, l’une des tendances technos 2015 à suivre de près….

From data capture to smart and autonomous devices to data processing and communication. Urban expansion puts the city at the forefront of environmental challenges. It must better distribute and save electricity, water and gas resources; but it must also make services such as transport and waste management more accessible and dynamic. At the heart of these changes are information and communication technologies (ICT). Software and telecoms open up new perspectives for industry and new types of services for city users.

It allows all incidents to be handled and human resources to be managed in real time. Thanks to this system, the response time has been reduced from 15 minutes in 2009 to less than 4 minutes today. In addition to Thales, the leading manufacturers to be followed are ABB, Bolloré, Bosch, Cisco, JCDecaux, GDFsuez, IBM, Microsoft, Philips, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Veoliaetc. By 2030, 100 billion dollars will be invested in the "smart grid" worldwide, according to the innovation consulting firm Alcimed.

In this month's issue of 28 August, theUsine Nouvelle lists the 67 most advanced cities in terms of intelligence. All continents are concerned, but Europe is ahead.

     A consortium of ten industrialists (Alstom, Bouygues Telecom, Bouygues Energies et services,
Bouygues immobilier, EDF, ERDF, Microsoft, Schneider Electric, Steria and Total)
has been working since 2012 to make Issy-les-Moulineaux connected.

 

As part of its reflections on the city of the future, Bouygues Immobilier has produced an animated video presenting future developments that will improve daily life in a connected city that is more respectful of the environment: green public transport, cycle paths above the city, shared gardens, shared parking spaces, new services, etc.
